  Welcome  

During the month of April we will studying the following:

Math - Geometry, and Place Value
Language Arts - The stories that we will be reading will relate to the "Big Question" -What is changing in our world?. In addition, we will cover the following Skills/Strategies: Sequence, plot, classify and categorize, and steps in a process.
Character Counts - Our pillar for the month is Trustworthiness. 
Social Studies - We are learning about Past, Times Change.
Science - We are studying Life Science - Plants and Animals.  This will take approximately five months to complete.
P.E. -FUNdamental Movement Units:Eye-Foot Coordination and Jumping and Sequencing
Fine Arts - Music -We are learning traditional songs with Mrs. Dry. Art - We will be using different mediums to learn about texture, color value, and perspective

  • Breakfast Provides Benefits... Make it a Priority!

    Here are a list of the benefits:

    • Higher Test Scores-Research shows that children who eat breakfast have higher math and reading scores.
    • Improved Attendance-Studies show that students who eat breakfast are absent and tardy less often.
    • Fewer Trips to the School Nurse-When students eat breakfast, nurses report fewer hunger related office visits.
    • Improved Classroom Behavior-Students are better able to pay attention in class when they have eaten.
    • Fewer Discipline Problems-Principals confirm that they see fewer discipline problems when students have eaten breakfast.
